- 6.2-liter V-8
- anticipated 26 mpg city rating
- 450 horsepower at 6,000 rpm
- 450 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm
- retains the OHV and cam-in-block configuration of previous small-block engines
- supposed to be one of the most fuel-efficient engines ever
- feature Active Fuel Management, GM’s moniker for cylinder deactivation, which shuts down 4 of the cylinders, leaving the it with a 3.1-liter V-4 engine in that state
- 11.5-to-1 compression ratio
- direct-injection system within the engine
